Rite Aid Rain Checks FAQ
This information was found here via SavyShopperDeals.
How do you get a rain check?
•As you check out, ask the cashier for a rain check for said item.
How long does it typically take for the items you rain checked to arrive?
•·Varies by store. Some Rite Aid’s restock every week, some every other week. Sometimes months.
o"Sometimes it takes months, I got a rain check back in November for something that hasn't been restocked since... I have since started talking to the store manager and asking them specifically to order things in for me (I.E. the pasta that was on sale earlier in January, my rain check was for 20, and the manager special ordered them in for me, and she called me when they arrived.)"
o"I generally go to the Provo Rite Aid, and the rain checks almost always come in the week after you get them (though lately I've had to wait a couple of weeks or so for some things)."
How do you know when the rain check items come?
•·Also varies by the store. Generally, they just put them on the shelf and you have to check every time you are in. However, Provo’s Rite Aid will give you a call, and they will courteously hold your rain check item(s) in the back for at least 5 days.
What about a rain check item that you have a coupon for?
•·Save your coupons for when the item gets back in stock, then use it to purchase the items. As long as they haven’t expired by the time you pick them up, you can still use the coupons for the items.
What about rain checks for SCR items?
•·Ask the cashier for a rain check. Cut out the weekly ad that gives price and rebate info and keep it with your rain check. Rain check expires in 30 days (if your item hasn’t been restocked, you can get another rain check as long as you take it back in within 30 days)
•·When you redeem your rain check, the picture from the weekly ad will help you and your cashier. Make sure your receipt prints the word “rain check”; you’ll need this to submit for rebate.
•·If you purchase within the offer period, the automated SCR program online should recognize your receipt. If you purchase outside the offer period, the automated SCR program online won’t recognize your receipt for the rebate, so you have to mail or fax it in.
•Mail to:

What about +UP rewards and rain checks? The store has two options:
•·Carrie, Rite Aid Customer Support says: "When Rain Checks are issued for an item that has a +UP Reward Coupon; the customer's Wellness+ Card is to be scanned first, then they would select the Rain Check option on the register. The item SKU is then entered and a Rain Check receipt will print for the sale price. It will then be necessary for the associate to 'hand write' and initial the +UP offer and the adjusted final price on the Rain Check, and sign it. Therefore, when purchasing the item that the Rain Check is for, you will automatically be charged what the final price would be, already taking off the +UP Reward amount."
•For advertised +UP rewards: Clerk writes the sale price, subtracts +UP, and writes final price.
•For example, Dreyer’s Ice Cream is on sale for $2.99, and generates $2 +UP. Store clerk would write “Dreyer’s Ice Cream 2.99 minus $2+UP=$0.99”. They deduct the rewards from the price, and that’s what you pay.
•For unadvertised +UP rewards: Clerk writes the rain check for the advertised sale price. The rain check item comes in and then when I buy them, as long as it’s before the monthly unadvertised +UP period is over, the +UP reward will print. If the +UP period is over, then no +UP is generated.
•For example, Lay Stax are on sale 2/$2 and each one generates an unadvertised $1 +UP. The store clerk writes “Lays Stax 2 for $2.00”.
